This opportunity reports into Mike, who himself joined Hotel Chocolat in a similar role and has since been promoted to his current position. He sees this new opportunity as an integral part of sharpening the focus around how we source and develop the packaging for our luxury chocolate products. This includes the complete end-to-end process of sourcing suppliers, setting up tenders, negotiating contracts and doing so in liaison with our Product Development team to ensure we have the correct packaging solutions.
We need someone who can form strong relationships with the relevant internal teams and who understands the importance of developing a supply chain culture that delivers the right results, first time around. You will also appreciate that it isn’t just about the lowest cost but the best cost.
Whilst this role is based in our Huntingdon manufacturing facility, there will be regular travel to our other two main sites in St. Neots and Royston, plus occasional travel across the UK and abroad. You don’t necessarily need to have worked with confectionery but will certainly have experience as a buyer within the FMCG or food sectors.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in buying – ideally within packaging
- Strong numeracy skills & IT literate
- UK Driving Licence with ability to travel worldwide if necessary
